Practice Areas

Family Law

Family legal issues are complex and laws in this area can be very difficult to understand.  We recognize that when faced with divorce and dividing community property, emotional and financial stress, anxiety and fear weigh in as heavy burdens on a family.  With a skilled and compassionate lawyer on your side, you will be protected.  We are committed to helping you understand the law during the time your family may be in transition. While our number one priority is amicable resolution of a case, we pride ourselves on developing a legal plan of action to accomplish your goals, and providing strategic representation tailored to your specific circumstances. The divorce process can be long and time-intensive, but we keep you informed each step of the way so that you will know what to expect, and how to be best-prepared for outcomes.  We are your trusted voice throughout this intricate process.

Successions (Probate) & Estate Planning

Everyone has an "estate," and planning isn't just for retired people or for the wealthy.  No one can predict how long they will live, and unfortunately accidents and illnesses happen to people of all ages. Estate planning is providing instructions for carrying out your wishes both while you are living, and upon your death.  The process includes planning in advance for your loved ones, your real estate, bank accounts, vehicles, life insurance, retirement accounts, personal possessions and business assets, and gives you the opportunity to control how your assets are distributed upon your death to the people or organizations you care about most. Our legal team can assist you with developing an estate plan including your Last Will & Testament, Powers of Attorney, and/or Trusts that will protect you, your loved ones, and your assets. We are experienced in handling Louisiana successions which is the legal process to clear title and transfer ownership interest of a person's assets to their heirs when they die.

Business Law & Litigation

Are you thinking about starting a business? The first step is business formation, and selecting the correct legal entity for the business. Once the legal entity is determined, documents must be drafted and filed in order for the business to be recognized by the government and to formally exist. Entities that new businesses can choose from vary by state. We can help business organizers consider the pros and cons of each business entity during the start-up phase, and can educate business founders about choosing an entity that will serve their best interests. After a business is launched, there might be a need for drafting, negotiation, drafting and review of contracts, commercial leases, handling licensing issues, open account collections for unpaid invoices, or navigating a business dispute including litigation if your business has been sued.  We offer comprehensive legal consultations to evaluate your business needs and will work with your company to identify and prioritize pending legal needs.

We are ready to help you.

A native of Washington, D.C., Erin has called Louisiana home for over 25 years and has built a distinguished career serving individuals, families, and businesses throughout the state and beyond. Erin earned her undergraduate degree from Tulane University before obtaining her Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. She further advanced her legal expertise by earning a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center. Over the course of her career, Erin has represented clients in a wide range of complex legal matters, including sophisticated business transactions, tax driven planning, and contested legal disputes. She is known for her ability to craft thoughtful, effective solutions tailored to each client’s objectives –whether that means negotiating favorable outcomes outside the courtroom or advocating forcefully when litigation is necessary. Her clients benefit from her analytical precision, candid counsel, and unwavering commitment to protecting their interests at every stage of representation. Erin also brings a strong operational perspective to her legal work. She is deeply involved in designing efficient legal workflows, implementing technology driven systems, and building processes that promote consistency, accountability, and an excellent client experience. Yazan "Yaz" Rantisi

Attorney
Yazan “Yaz” Rantisi is an experienced family law attorney who has devoted his career to guiding clients through the legal, emotional, and practical realities of family law matters within the Louisiana legal system. Throughout his years of practice, Yaz has handled a wide range of complex and high stakes cases, giving him a comprehensive understanding of how deeply these issues impact not only the legal rights of his clients, but their families, finances, and future stability as well. Through this experience, Yaz developed a clear perspective on what clients truly need during difficult transitions: clear guidance, realistic expectations, and advocacy rooted in strategy rather than emotion. While he is fully prepared to litigate when necessary, his extensive courtroom experience has taught him that aggressive litigation is not always the most effective—or humane—solution. Many family law matters can be resolved more efficiently and with less conflict when guided by an attorney who understands both the legal system and the human cost of prolonged disputes. Having spent significant time in courtrooms across Louisiana, Yaz brings a litigation hardened perspective to every case—even those that never see a judge. That experience allows him to anticipate challenges, assess risk accurately, and structure cases in a way that positions clients for success while maintaining control over the process. Clients benefit from counsel who knows when to stand firm, when to negotiate, and when a measured approach will best serve their long term interests. Yaz most recently served as Policy and Rulemaking Director with the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services. He also founded the Louisiana Family Law Firm where he served as lead counsel on complex, multi-day trials involving expert witnesses, forensic evaluations, and interstate jurisdictional disputes. Yaz received his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University and obtained his J.D. from Southern University Law Center. He is Licensed in Louisiana, and is an active member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Baton Rouge Bar Association.

Jonathan Holloway

Attorney
Jonathan Holloway is a Louisiana native whose deep roots in the state continue to shape his approach to the practice of law and his commitment to serving the local community. He began his academic journey at Southern University and A&M College and went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the Southern University Law Center in 1998. While in law school, he distinguished himself as a member of the Moot Court Board, demonstrating early excellence in advocacy and legal analysis. Following graduation, Jonathan briefly pursued a career in banking before transitioning to private practice in 1999, where he built a reputation for diligence, strategic insight, and strong client advocacy. From 2004 to 2006, he practiced with Keogh Cox, focusing on insurance defense and gaining extensive experience handling complex legal matters. Jonathan has remained actively involved in the legal community throughout his career. He served as President of the Louis A. Martinet Legal Society and has been recognized in the Baton Rouge Bar Association Journal’s Attorney Spotlight. He is a member of both the Baton Rouge Bar Association and the Louisiana State Bar Association. In addition to his legal practice, Jonathan has demonstrated a strong commitment to public service. He was appointed by former Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco to the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors and has served as General Counsel for the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Private Investigators. He also served as a Special Assistant Attorney General under former Attorney General Charles Foti. He is dedicated to providing thoughtful guidance and strong advocacy, ensuring each client feels informed, supported, and confidently represented every step of the way.
